Пред околу 70 илјади сведоци присутни на новиот олимписки стадион во Лондон и околу милијарди пред малите екрани, се отворија Летни олимписки игри.

Спектакуларна церемонија наречена “Островот на чуда” играјќи си со стереотипи и симболи на поп-културата Дени Бојл прикажа што Британците сакаат да мислат за себе и за тоа како сакаат другите да ги видат. Ливади, животни, индустриски работници, медицински сестри, тинејџери, Џејмс Бонд, Мистер Бин, мини морис, но и музика конфети, светлина и да сето тоа снимено со “милиони” камери го пушти во светот.

Олимпискиот оган го донесе со глисер минувајќи под Лондонскиот мост Дејвид Бекам. И за изненадување на сите оваа година олипискиот оган не го запали еден спортист – туку 5 и тоа млади спортисти. Начинот на палење на оганот беше спектакуларен. Церемонијата заврши со спектакуларен огномет.

 

Пред палењето на оганот на стадионот продефилираа сите спортисти на чело со знамносците – Како што се очекуваше, знамето на својата земја Јамајка, го носеше Усаин Болт, националното знаме на Русија Марија Шарапова, Новак Ѓоковиќ го виеореше знамето на Србија. коплетниот список на знаменосците под фото галеријата. На него Македонија е со уставното име.
